Effra Connection practica

Dear tango friends, students and colleagues.

We invite you ‘Effra Connection Practica’ a place to explore how we connect socially in Tango.

This first session will focus on milonga floorcraft, navigation and creating a comfortable, authentic embrace with your partner.

The session will incorporate solo warm up exercises, playing with roles and mindsets towards milonga codes and movement exploration within groups, facilitated by Emma Lucia Reyes and Bridgitta Roy.

We will then slip into a lovely afternoon of social dancing with DJ Shashi at the decks and refreshments provided.

Please note the class is of a mixed level we believe whatever your level of experience you can gain from this class. No partner necessary. If you would like to work with a fixed partner you are very welcome to.

Your Facilitators:

Bridgitta Roy

Born and raised in London by parents who migrated from opposite ends of the world, Bridgitta works as an actor in film and television, and as a theatre director specialising in projects with singers, music and movement. She enjoys telling extraordinary stories and making profound connections. Bridgitta is passionate about tango and after 16 years is pretty much addicted.

Emma Lucia Reyes

A creative Londoner, Tango dancer, performer, teacher and artist. She is a finalist of the Argentine Tango Championships U.K 2022 and Semi Finalist in the Buenos Aires Mundiales 2022 She performs all over UK and Europe. With over 10 years experience teaching with knowledge of styles of tango including Salon, Milonguero, Nuevo and Escenario she strongly encourages people to build their own style grounded in good basics. She loves nothing more than to share her passion for tango and continuous learning.
