Save the Date for the Ambassador Tango Cup 2025 & the Iconic Milonga at the Argentine Residence!

We are thrilled to announce the 5th Edition of the Ambassador Tango Cup this year!

🗓 Dates:

 • Saturday, 1st November – Opening of the competition (late afternoon)

 • Sunday, 2nd November – Semi-final & Final (afternoon)

👠 For Competitors:

There will be a small participation fee, which includes entry to the Saturday Milonga (no in the Residence) and priority access to the Sunday Milonga at the Argentine Residence.

💃 For Non-Competitor Tangueros:

Approximately 140 free tickets will be available for the Milonga at the Residence on Sunday. Please note: demand is high — in previous years, over 200 tangueros wanted to attend.

🎟 Tickets will be released during the 5 days leading up to the event, so be ready to grab yours quickly!

🧳 Tangueros traveling from outside London who need to purchase transport tickets in advance — please send us a PM. A limited number of travel support tickets are available for this group.

🕕 Milonga Details:

Right after the competition concludes, join us for an unforgettable Milonga from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM, held in the stunning ballroom of the Argentine Residence.

📌 Competition Details:

 • Open to amateur tanguer@s currently residing in the UK (of any nationality), with at least one year of UK residency prior to the competition date.

 • All participants must be 18 years or older.

 • Four categories:

 • Tango Pista

 • Senior Tango (both dancers must be 60+ years old)

 • Vals

 • Milonga

We are proud to share that a group of esteemed local teachers and maestros will form the Judging Panel, to be announced in the coming weeks.

🏆 Prizes:

First Place Winners (in each category) will receive:

 • The official title of Ambassador Tango Cup Winner for one year

 • A trophy for each champion

 • Tango Pista Champions: Free registration to compete in the Pista category at La Turca Tango Championship 2026

 • Senior, Vals & Milonga Champions: 50% off registration to compete in any category at La Turca Tango Championship 2026

Second Place Winners:

 • Trophy + Honorable Mention
